01 The Service
GlobalAPI ("the Service", "we", "us") provides access to macroeconomic data, company registry lookups, sanctions screening, and compliance intelligence via API at globalapi.dev.
Data is sourced from official government and intergovernmental publications including the US Federal Reserve (FRED), US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), UK Office for National Statistics (ONS), Eurostat, Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Statistics Canada, Japan e-Stat, IMF World Economic Outlook, World Bank, and national business registries. Sanctions data is sourced from OFAC, UK FCDO/OFSI, UN Security Council, and EU Consolidated sanctions lists.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
02 Data Accuracy & No Warranty
All data is sourced directly from authoritative publishers and refreshed on their publication schedules. However, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding:
- The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data returned by the Service
- The fitness of the data for any particular purpose
- Uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Service
- The accuracy of AI-generated commentary included in responses
Upstream source data may be revised, delayed, or temporarily unavailable. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind.
03 Not Financial or Legal Advice
Nothing provided by the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, compliance, or regulatory advice. AI-generated commentary on economic indicators, sanctions match verdicts, and counterparty risk assessments are informational outputs only.
Sanctions screening results are one input into a compliance workflow. They do not constitute a legal determination of sanctions status, and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for compliance decisions. You are responsible for applying your own compliance policies and for obtaining qualified legal or compliance advice as required by applicable law.
Economic data and analysis must not be relied upon as the sole basis for financial, investment, or trading decisions.
04 Acceptable Use
You may use the Service for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, payment requirements, or access controls
- Resell or redistribute raw API responses as a primary data product without substantial transformation
- Use the Service in any way that disrupts or degrades performance for other users
- Use the Service to screen individuals or entities for discriminatory purposes prohibited by law
- Automate abusive or adversarial request patterns against upstream government data sources
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms.
05 Payment
Access to paid endpoints requires payment per the pricing published at globalapi.dev. Payments are processed via the x402 protocol (USDC on Base mainnet) for direct API access, or via the RapidAPI Hub for subscription-based access.
All payments are final. No refunds are issued for calls that returned a valid API response, regardless of whether the data met your expectations. Calls that return HTTP 503 before the payment middleware are not charged.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes are published in advance and take effect on the date specified.
06 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GlobalAPI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to losses arising from trading decisions, compliance failures, missed regulatory obligations, or data inaccuracies.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 30 days prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
07 Data Sources
The Service aggregates data from the following authoritative sources. Each source operates under its own terms and data licensing conditions.
08 Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the service changelog. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
09 Governing Law
These Terms are intended to be interpreted in a manner consistent with applicable laws in the jurisdiction where you access or use the Service. We do not make representations that the Service is appropriate or lawful in all jurisdictions. If you access the Service from a jurisdiction where its use is restricted, you do so at your own risk and are solely responsible for compliance with local law.
